My little addition would be to kayak from Orcus Island around the San Juans. The scenery is breathtaking although as you are aware, the Pacific Northwest is GORGEOUS!
I appreciate the spirit you have to up and move across the states and applaud the way you are doing it. Hope all works out for you and you enjoy continually rewriting the chapters of your life. I understand the nomadic lifestyle as a child as I was an ARMY brat dragged around the world and looking at the wonders it has to offer! Take care and good luck to you!

Your number 11 is particularly interesting to me. I wonder why it made #11 on the list over say #84, or #91… but
…I’ve been a member of the Museum of Flight for several years and LOVE to take people there and give a personal tour of interesting things, like the space shuttle simulator that you can fly (kind of like a video game), an F18 Simulator that moves on all three axis and actually goes inverted (they do strap you in)… then there is the Concord, the original Jet Air Force One…
Hit me back if you would like to meet an aviation nut and get a free tour…
What about Skydiving in Snohomish?
Fantastic post! love your blog
This is great – I would add Salmon Days in Issaquah. It’s technically part of SeaFair and happens in October. There’s a parade, lots of craft/food booths, tours of the fish hatchery, and watching the salmon come back to spawn. http://www.salmondays.org/ Volunteers are needed at the hatchery to answer questions about the salmon so that might be a good way to get involved.
Thanks Tammy – that is a great tip!
